I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and think it will appeal to theologians, linguists and those searching for answers within the scriptures. Although I do not agree with everything in the book, I believe Imad – and his brother who assisted in the Arabic version – have come up with some thought provoking and valid arguments, and started discussions that I imagine will continue for some time.

After studying both Hebrew and Arabic at university I appreciate that simple words can be mis-translated, changing the entire context of a sentence. This book merely highlights that fact, and provides a whole new approach to evolution in the world’s bestseller, the Bible and the Qur’an.

For my part I have tried to simplify the English, add punctuation and delete parts that were irrelevant in the English translation, whilst trying to retain Imad’s style.

I apologise to the reader, as I am not qualified to edit or proofread. There are times when I thought if I altered words, their context would change, so I have retained the original translation; it is at these moments that I ask the reader to bear with it. In addition I haven’t changed any quotes from the scriptures. I am truly flattered that Imad values my opinion of his book and enabled me to be one of the first to read this book in translation. This is not an easy read but it is worth persevering. One thing the reader can be sure of is that he or she will form an opinion – whether positive or negative – and I hope it will inspire others to continue the research.
